Hi and welcome to Gerace Images.
I was born in Brooklyn, New York and got my interest in photography from my father. He taught me the basics as well as the appreciation for having the final image appear as was originally imagined. A moment in time captured for all time.
My journey began in my home town of New York City with all of it's colorful parades, citi-scapes, and graffiti. I was drawn to the colors of the changing seasons, especially in Central Park. My search for color led me to photograph many islands in the Caribbean including the Dominican Republic and it's people. I found lots of color in both Greece and Mexico.
I lived in Costa Rica for 7 years while photographing it's very colorful wildlife and nature.
I now call Portugal home and will focus more on landscapes, while still keeping an eye out for colorful birds.
Thanks for taking the time to explore my photography and vision of the world as I have seen it.
There is also a B&W Gallery which is dedicated to my father, Joseph.
